Union, N.J. (9/2/14) – The Kean University athletic department welcomes Jayme Levine who joins the Cougar athletic training support staff.
Levine will serve as a full-time assistant athletic trainer. He earned his bachelors of science in athletic training magna cum laude from Kean in 2012 and will complete his masters of exercise science at the end of this calendar year.
Levine has worked closely with four Kean programs since the Fall of 2010 and served as an athletic training education department graduate assistant since the Fall of 2012.
During his time at Kean, Levine has also worked with the New York Football Giants, the Overlook Medical center in Summit, the National Council on Strength & Fitness and the Special Olympics Medical Staff.
He earned the 2014 Presidential Excellence Award for Distinguished Service, made the Kean Dean’s list multiple times, is a member of the Lambda Alpha Sigma and Iota Tau Alpha honor societies and is a member of both the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey and the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Levine joins the staff as Ray DiVirgilio transitions to the academic side of the department on a full-time basis. DiVirgilio will serve as a professor in the Athletic Training degree program beginning with the Fall semester.
