Field Hockey Shuts Down Vassar

Union, N.J. (9/6/17) – The Kean University field hockey team improved to 3-0 with a 1-0 win over Vassar College on a rainy Wednesday evening at Alumni Stadium.

Senior Teresa Carr netted the lone goal and game-winner in the 16th minute off a corner opportunity.  It was Carr's second goal of the young season.

In sloppy conditions, Kean outshot the Brewers (2-1) 11-5 and edged them in penalty corners, 6-4.  The Cougar defense held their streak, not allowing a goal thus far this season.  Keeper Bailee Mullen made one stop on the night.

Kean returns to action on Saturday when they travel to SUNY Oneonta for a 1 p.m. matchup.
