Field Hockey Wins 14th Straight in Shutout Over Neumann

Aston, Pa. (10/10/17) – The Kean University field hockey team tied a program streak with 14 straight wins as they shutout Neumann University by the final of 7-0.

The #14 Cougars (14-0) didn't allow a shot all afternoon while taking 35 shots and having 19 corner opportunities.  The shutout is the ninth of the season for the Cougars, setting a new program mark.

Krista and Shauna LaMaina each scored twice to lead Kean while Jenna Patrone assisted twice in the win.

Krista LaMaina and Audrey Treanor registered goals in the first 35 minutes for a 3-0 halftime score.  Shauna LaMaina, Rachel Mills and Teresa Carr added tallies in the final period for what would be the final.

Megan Houser and Bailee Mullen combined on the shutout without facing a shot.

The Cougars travel to take on Stockton University on Saturday in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.
