Jonathan Jones changes roles and will appear on the sidelines beginning with the 2011-12 season.

A consensus first-team All-American, Jones earned a total of 12 major postseason honors, including first-team All-American honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches, D3hoops.com and DIII News, while also finishing as the runner-up for the NABC National Player of the Year award during his senior season a year ago.  He capped off the year as he was named the 2010-11 New Jersey Athletic Conference Male Athlete of the Year, just the third in Kean history.

In addition, Jones earned five Player of the Year honors as the NABC Atlantic Region, D3hoops.com Atlantic Region, Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Metro Region, Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association and NJAC "Pony Wilson" Player of the Year.  He was also honored with the Chris Zusi Memorial Award as the Union County Male Athlete of the Year by the Union County Baseball Association in February.

Jones became the 30th player in program history to score 1,000 career points and finished his career ranked sixth in program history with 1,359 career points.  Over his last two seasons, Jones scored 983 points and had 667 rebounds for an average of 19.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game in his final 51 career games.

Jones is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Kean.
