Palmer Named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week

Pitman, N.J. (10/24/11) – Junior Sheldon Palmer has been tabbed as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced on Monday.

Palmer earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after recording six points in a 2-0-1 week of play for the Cougars. He opened the week by notching three points on a goal and an assist in Kean's 4-1 non-conference road win at Ursinus. Three nights later, he registered a goal and an assist for an additional three points in a 2-1 overtime NJAC victory over rival Rowan.

Palmer, who assisted on the game-winning score against the Profs, currently ranks second in the NJAC in assists per game (0.42).
