NEW YORK, N.Y. (3/9/17) – After taking two weeks off midseason, the Kean University men's volleyball team got back in the swing of things with a 3-1 victory over Baruch College in Manhattan on Thursday.
Freshman Jay Bynum had the best day of his young career, leading the team with 13 kills and a .611 attack percentage.
The Bearcats took the first set by two points as Kean shook off the rust from their fortnight of rest, but the Cougars swept the nest three in a row to earn the victory. Kean improved to 12-7, Baruch is now a mirror image at 7-12.
Nick Breslin had 12 digs, and Kean had a total of 44 in the match to go with 11 aces and six blocks.
The Cougars will return home on Sunday to host Sarah Lawrence College and Yeshiva University to begin Skyline Conference play.
