Men’s Volleyball Crushes Skyline Tri-Match

PURCHASE, N.Y. (4/1/17) – The average scored was 25-10 as the Kean University men's volleyball team cruised to a pair of Skyline Conference victories over Purchase College and St. Joseph's College – Brooklyn on Saturday.

Ian Capp led the team with 40 assists, four aces and nine digs across the two matches, while Jared Warner posted a solo block and was in on five others.

Kean ripped a total of 23 aces and surrendered just one. Brandon Lee joined Capp with four aces, and 10 different Cougars had at least one unreturned serve.

Kamil Garbowski was 6-for-7 attacking the ball, and he, Warner, Jacob Kauffman and Jay Bynum all hit .700 or better. Nick Buseski led the team with 12 kills, while Steven Zarzycki and Jacob Milnazik (pictured left) had 11 apiece.

Against St. Joe's the set scores were 25-5, 25-6, 25-9. The hosts at Purchase did not fare much better. Their scores were 25-10, 25-11, 25-18. The Cougars improved to 20-8 and 6-0 in the Skyline.

Kean will be back at home on Sunday to host The Sage Colleges and Arcadia University beginning at noon.
