Ian Capp Earns Skyline Player of the Week for Men’s Volleyball

NEW YORK, N.Y. (4/10/17) – Freshman setter Ian Capp of the Kean University men's volleyball team was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week after leading the Cougars in aces and assists in two conference sweeps.

Kean topped both New Jersey City University and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in straight-sets on Friday in its only action last week.

Capp handed out 55 assists in the five sets he took part in and led the Cougars with six aces over the two matches. He added six digs and was in on three blocks.

The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native also hit .667 on Friday, with two kills on three attacks. He finished with 9.5 points to his credit.

He is currently fourth in the nation with 0.63 aces per set the season and 52nd in assists per set.

The Cougars will host the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of the Sage – St. Joe's Long Island Opening Round game taking place on Tuesday.
