UNION, N.J. (2/14/18) – The Kean University softball team will open the 2018 campaign being represented in both the New Jersey Athletic Conference and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) preseason coaches' polls.
The Cougars were picked fourth in the NJAC poll with Ramapo, Rowan and Stockton all falling into the first, second and third slots. Ramapo collected seven first place votes, while Rowan tallied three. The rest of the poll is as follows: Montclair State, TCNJ, William Paterson, Rutgers-Newark, Rutgers-Camden and NJCU.
Kean has been ranked #21 and received 37 points in the NFCA Division III Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Cougars and RoadRunners of Ramapo College were the only two NJAC teams represented on the NFCA poll.

Head Coach Margie Acker and the Cougars will open the 2018 season on Tuesday, Mar. 6th, hosting the Devils of FDU-Florham for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
