Women's Lacrosse Rushes Past Ramapo

Mahwah, N.J. (4/11/17) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team used an offensive explosion to defeat Ramapo College, 20-10 on Tuesday afternoon in NJAC action.

Rookie Danni LeSaint (pictured left) and junior Emily Stasuk led Kean with four goals each as the Cougars improved to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC.  The Roadrunners fall to 5-6 this season and 0-2 in the conference.

The Cougars stormed out of the gate, netting six goals in the first seven plus minutes of action.  LeSaint recorded a hat trick in the span.  Kean pushed the advantage out to 11-1 with just over 14 minutes left in the first half and headed into the break with a 13-4 lead.

In total, 20 players saw action in the contest with 10 goal scorers on the day.

In addition to her four goals, Stasuk also collected four draw controls, while Andrea Trentacosti added three goals on the afternoon.  Meghan Tillger provided an all-around effort with two goals, three assists and three draw controls. 

Kean travels to Stockton University on Saturday to continue NJAC action.
