MSU Pulls Past Women's Lacrosse in OT

Montclair, N.J. (4/10/18) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team rallied from down four goals, but fell in overtime to Montclair State University, 12-11, in NJAC action.

With the loss Kean falls to 0-2 in the NJAC and 10-2 overall while MSU improves to 1-1 in the NJAC and 6-5 this season.

Trailing 10-7 in the second half the Cougars surged for four goals to take just their second lead of the game.  Senior Brittany Ballack got the rally started with back-to-back goals just over a minute apart.  Sophomore Danni LeSaint tied things up and Morgan Graham gave Kean the lead with six minutes on the clock.

MSU tied things up a minute later and controlled most of the possession in the second half before Brittany Costigan gave the Red Hawks the OT win.

Ballack finished with three goals, one assist and four draw controls while Graham finished with two goals, one assist and two groundballs.

In net, Nikki Apostolopoulos registered 13 saves.

Kean returns to NJAC action on Saturday when they host Stockton University.
