King Earns Weekly Honors

Pitman, N.J. (10/17/11) – Rookie Kaitlin King has been tabbed as the New Jersey Athletic Conference and ECAC Metro Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced on Monday.

A Week 2 NJAC Rookie of the Week selection, King earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting a 0.41 goals against average in a pair of draws for Kean. She opened the week by notching her third career shutout with eight saves in 110 minutes of action during a scoreless double-overtime draw with Montclair State. Three days later, she collected nine saves while surrendering just one goal in Kean's 1-1 tie with TCNJ.

King currently ranks third in the NJAC in save percentage (.849).
