Evelyn Alfaro is entering her ninth season as the head coach of women's tennis at Kean University. Alfaro became the Cougars' 10th head coach in program history when she was hired in the summer of 2004.
The Cougars arguably had their best season in her tenure in 2010 after recording an 11-3 overall record, the program's first 11 win season since 1999.

Alfaro is at a rated level 4.5 by the United State Tennis Association. She has served on the board of directors of the Arlington Players Club, a private tennis club in Kearny, N.J., and was a four-time singles and doubles champion at the club (1993, 1996, 1999, 2001).
