GLASSBORO, N.J. (1/17/07) - Senior guard Bryan Keller (Piscataway, N.J.) scored 23 points, however the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a 93-87 decision to host Rowan University in New Jersey Athletic Conference South Division action on Wednesday evening.

Keller hit five three-pointers, however the Cougars (11-6, 2-3 NJAC) could not offset a 42-point performance from Rowan senior guard Thomas Baker (Millville, N.J), as Rowan (13-2, 3-1 NJAC) won their 10th straight game.

The Cougars, who trailed 44-29 at halftime, used a 9-1 run midway through the second half to cut the deficit to three points at 76-73, as Keller netted seven points in the stretch. Rowan pushed the lead back to 89-83 with just over a minute remaining, before Keller made a pair of free throws and guard Lamar Wright (Galloway, N.J.) added a lay-up to pull with 89-87 with 27 seconds remaining.

Down the stretch, Baker and forward Dwayne Reevey (Fair Haven, N.J.) each made a pair of foul shots to seal the Prof victory.

For the Cougars, Wright finished with 19 points, five rebounds and three steals, while senior guard Bryan Miller (Trenton, N.J.) added 10 points off the bench. Senior forward Brett Wyatt (Elizabeth, N.J.) nhad nine points and five rebounds in just 12 minutes before fouling out.
