Stockton Surges Past Kean, 87-60

Pomona, N.J. (1/23/08) - Richard Stockton College scored 49 first half points on their way to defeating Kean University, 87-60, Wednesday evening at the Sports Center.

Senior Lamar Wright (Galloway, N.J.) led the Cougars with 16 points and eight rebounds as KU falls to 6-11 overall and 1-4 in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play.  Forward Jerome Hubbard (Neptune, N.J.) led the Ospreys (12-4, 5-1 NJAC) with 15 points in the win.

Kean would score the first basket of the game on a trey by freshman Keith Williams (Jersey City, N.J.) but that would be their only lead of the contest as Stockton rolled off 16 straight points while forcing four turnovers in the span.  The Ospreys would lead by as many as 28 in the first half and held a 49-22 advantage going into the break.
