Women's Soccer Earns 1-0 Victory
Over Montclair State
MONTCLAIR, N.J. (10/1/08) - Freshman
Danielle Esposito (Holmdel, N.J.) scored the
game-winning goal early in the second half to lead the Kean
University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Montclair
State University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on
Wednesday evening.
Esposito (pictured right) scored her team leading sixth goal of
the year off the assist from senior Amanda Pitts (Rahway,
N.J.) just 5:58 into the second half and the Cougars (7-2,
3-1 NJAC) limited Montclair State to just three shots the rest of
the half.
Sophomore Leandra Russo (Galloway, N.J.) made
three saves in the victory, while junior Leah Tepperman (North
Andover, Mass.) stopped six shots for the Red Hawks (6-5, 2-2
NJAC).
The Cougars return to action on Saturday, October 4, when they
travel to William Paterson University for a NJAC game at 5 p.m.
