Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) scored five
goals and freshman attack Rosalia Romeo (Ridgewood,
N.J.) tied a school-record with five assists to lead the
Kean University women's lacrosse team to an 18-0 victory over
Maritime College in Skyline Conference action on Saturday
afternoon.
Kean (9-4, 1-1 Skyline) held a 15-0 lead at halftime, Romeo
(pictured left) assisted on five straight goals at one point and
added two goals.
For the game, 10 different Cougars scored goals, as Romeo,
freshman Amanda South (Fairless Hills, Pa.),
freshman Cristin Califf (Cranford, N.J.) and
senior Alli Green (West Deptford, N.J.) each
scored twice.
Martime senior goalkeeper Jamie Gleber (Wilmington,
Del.) stopped six shots, as the Cougars outshot the Privateers
27-5 and held a 21-7 advantage in groundballs for the game.
The Cougars return to action on Saturday, April 19, when they
host Farmingdale State College in Skyline action at 1 p.m.
