Men's Lacrosse Advances Past
Maritime, 15-4

Junior Eric Gillar (Milltown, N.J.) and sophomore
Scott Leathem (Fair Lawn, N.J.) each recorded
three goals and three assists to lead #3 Kean University over #2
Maritime College, 15-4, in Skyline Tournament action Wednesday
evening.
With the win the Cougars will face #1 Montclair State in the
Skyline Championship on Saturday, May 3rd at 6
p.m. The Red Hawks defeated #4 Richard Stockton, 13-3.
The win also moves Kean to 13-5 this season, their first 13 win
season since 1993.
Maritime netted the first goal of the match, but KU responded
with six straight spanning the first and second period.
Junior C.J. Gannon (Morris Plains, N.J.) tied
things up off an assist from Gillar with 12:50 remaining in the
first period and sophomore Mike Terry (Maplewood, N.J.)
gave the Cougars the go-ahead goal just over a minute
later.
Offensively senior Dennis Lukacsko (Lincoln Park,
N.J.) registered two goals while sophomore Anthony
Bertucci (Edison, N.J.) (pictured right) had two goals and
an assist in the win.
In goal, senior Dave Nichols (Florham Park,
N.J.) recorded four saves while facing nine shots on goal.
