Women's Lacrosse Falls to St.
Thomas Aquinas, 14-12
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. (4/5/08) - Freshman attack
Amanda South (Fairless Hills, Pa.) scored a
team-high four goals, however the Kean University women's lacrosse
team dropped a 14-12 decision to host St. Thomas Aquinas College in
non-
conference action.
The Cougars (8-3) trailed by three at halftime, as the Spartans
took a 9-6 lead at the break.
In the game, freshman goalkeeper Ashlie Berghold
(Boyertown, Pa.) stopped 17 shots for the Cougars.
Freshman attack Rosalia Romeo (Ridgewood, N.J.)
added two goals and an assist, while senior Alli Green
(West Deptford, N.J.) netted a pair of goals.
The Cougars open Skyline Conference play on Wednesday, April 9,
when they travel to two-time defending conference champion
Montclair State University. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
