UNION, N.J. (4/18/09) - The Kean University men's lacrosse team scored three unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to regain the lead and defeat visiting Moravian College, 10-9, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Mike Terry (Maplewood, N.J.) scored twice, including Kean's final goal, to lead the Cougars (10-5) to their fourth straight season with at least 10 wins.  For Moravian (4-10), senior attack Jason Tosches (West Windsor, N.J.) scored a game-high four goals.

Tied 5-5 at halftime, the Cougars scored the first two goals of the third quarter, as seniors Chris DeCarlo (Sandy, Utah) and Eric Gillar (Milltown, N.J.) scored to give the Cougars the 7-5 lead with 10:01 remaining in the period.

Moravian responded with the next three goals, spanning into the opening minutes of the fourth period, to regain the lead at 8-7.

Tosches opened the scoring run with four minutes to go in the third and after Moravian senior attack Christopher Danni (Macungie, Pa.) tied the game just 51 seconds into the final period, Tosches gave the Greyhounds their last lead with 12:35 to go in the game.

Kean junior midfielder Sean Cope (Succasunna, N.J.) netted the unassisted goal with 11:35 to go to tie the game, before senior Josh Morales (Clifton, N.J.) (pictured left) gave the Cougars the lead for good when he scored off the assist from Gillar with 9:14 remaining in the game.  Terry added the much-needed insurance goal with just over seven minutes to go, before Tosches closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal with 2:40 remaining.

In the first period, Moravian scored twice in the final 93 seconds of the period to take a 4-3 lead.  The Cougars scored the first two goals of the second period, before the Greyhounds tied the game up with 24 seconds to go before haltime.
