Christopher Newport University scored three unanswered goals in the
second half as they defeated Kean, 3-0, Saturday afternoon.
The loss is the first of the season for the Cougars who are now
1-1-1. The Captains improve to 3-0.
CNU converted what would be the winning goal in the
57th minute directly in front of the goal before tacking
on insurance goals in the 69th minute and with just
under two minutes to go in the match.
Junior Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield, N.J.)
recorded four saves in the loss.
Kean returns home and will take on New York University on
Wednesday, September 9th at 4:30 p.m. at East Campus.
