Hillside, N.J. (10/24/10) - #21 University of
Rochester notched a goal in each half to defeat the Kean University
men's soccer team, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at the East Campus
Soccer Complex.
The match's first goal came in the sixth minute as
Chris Blivin scored off a well setup assist from Tim
Sorrentino. The Yellowjackets (8-1-5) then took
advantage of a Cougar miscue in the box as Jimmy Parrinello
notched insurance at 67:34.
Freshman Tyler Callahan recorded seven saves in
the loss for Kean (8-9-2) while freshman Mike Moranz had
six in the shutout win.
Rochester held a 20-12 advantage in shots, as well as a 7-3 edge
in corner opportunities.
The Cougars conclude the 2010 regular season on Wednesday as
they host William Paterson University in NJAC action at 7:30 p.m.
at Kean Alumni Stadium for Senior Night.
