Cannon Sends Cougars Past Wells,
19-10
Ithaca, N.Y. (3/14/10) – Freshman Lyndsey
Cannon (Delran, N.J) scored a game-high eight goals along
with three assists to lead Kean to their first win of the 2010
season as they defeated Wells College, 19-10, Sunday afternoon.
The Cougars scored the match's first goal and never
trailed, but held only a small lead heading into the break with a
9-7 lead. It was the second half where Kean (1-3) took over,
as freshman Jessica Hergert (Forked River, N.J.)
scored three straight goals in the first three minutes as Kean
outscored Wells College, 10-3, in the second half.
Hergert finished with three goals and an assist while junior
Amanda South (Fairless Hills, Pa.) had three goals
as well.
The Cougars head to Florida and will face St. Mary's
College of Maryland on Wednesday at Disney's Wide World of
Sports Complex.
