Rowan Defeats Host Kean, 12-4

White recorded a complete game win as the Rowan University
Profs defeated host Kean University, 12-4, Thursday afternoon in
New Jersey Athletic Conference action at Jim Hynes Stadium.
Rowan (21-12-1, 12-4 NJAC) completes the series sweep of Kean
this season and sits atop of the NJAC standings. The loss
drops Kean to 25-10 overall and 10-5 in NJAC play.
White improved to 6-1 as he allowed four runs and seven hits
while fanning eight and walking three.
The Profs jumped on the board early with two runs in the second and
third innings and jumped out to an 8-0 lead with a four spot in the
fourth. Sophomore Marc Magliaro provided a two RBI
double to center in the second inning while Scott Weaver
added a two run homerun in the third. Senior Dave
Lenig added a two RBI single up the middle in the four run
fourth inning which in turn put the game out of reach.
Offensively for the Cougars catcher Eddie
Jennings (pictured right) was 2-for-4 with a double and
solo homerun while sophomore Vinny Galya was
2-for-4 with a run scored.
For the Profs, leadoff batter Matt Citro was 2-for-4
with three RBI, three runs scored and a three run homerun.
Southpaw Ryan Zamorsky took the loss for
Kean. Zamorsky (1-2) allowed six runs in three plus innings
of work.
Kean returns to action on Friday when they travel to take on
Richard Stockton College at 3:30 p.m.
