Newark, N.J. (2/8/11) – The Kean
University men's volleyball team fell to host New Jersey
Institute of Technology, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-19) Tuesday evening
in non-conference action.
The Cougars were led by sophomore Steve Vahalla
who had nine kills, four assists and five digs. Rookie
Christian Portera had eight kills and three digs
while junior Sam Haimann added 22 assists, two
kills and two assisted blocks.
Kean returns to action on Wednesday when they host Ramapo
College in conference action at 7:30 p.m.
