Colorado Springs, Colo. (9/4/11) – The
Kean University men's soccer team battled to their second
straight draw as they tied with a 1-1 score to Minnesota-Morris in
neutral action on Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars (1-0-2) netted the
game's first goal as sophomore Pat Foley
headed the ball into the right post off a direct kick pass from
senior Albert Dul.
The score would stay that way until the 88th minute
as UMM's Michael Ward tied things up on a rebound
shot.
Freshman Nick Pavlichko recorded five saves in
the draw as Kean outshot Minnesota-Morris 18-15, including 6-2 in
the overtime periods.
Kean will be in action on Friday, September 9th as
they travel to Stevens Institute of Technology to take on Roanoke
College at 4 p.m.
