Scranton, Pa. (10/4/12) – The Kean
University women's soccer team recorded their 10th
win of the season as they defeated host Marywood University, 4-2,
Thursday evening.
Senior Carly Seidel led the way with two goals and
an assist as the Cougars improved to 10-1-1 this season. The
loss drops Marywood to 3-7-1 this fall.
The Cougars jumped out of the gate, scoring the first four goals
of the contest, all in the first half. Seidel got things
started less than two minutes into the match before senior
Kristen Hager tallied her first of the night at
the five minute mark to give Kean an early, 2-0 advantage.
Seidel added her second of the night at 16:09 and like
clockwork, Hager added her second three minutes later, on an assist
from Seidel. The Pacers broke up the shutout late in the
contest with two goals in the final 15 minutes of action.
Rookie KC Nunez registered six saves in the
win.
Kean returns to action on Wednesday, October 10th
when they travel to Montclair State University.
