Galloway, N.J. (11/20/12) – Sophomore
AnnaRose Pierre scored a career-high 30 points,
but it wasn't enough as the Richard Stockton College
women's basketball defeated Kean University, 76-48, Tuesday
evening.
Pierre finished with a double-double with game-highs in points
and rebounds (15) as the Cougars fall to 1-2 this season.
The Ospreys (1-0) used a late run in the final two minutes of
the first half to take a 13 point advantage into the break,
33-20. Pierre provided 10 points in the first 20 minutes of
action, while senior Kyanne Sager collected eight
rebounds.
Richard Stockton then paced the second half, pushing their lead
to as many as 31 points.
Sager finished with 14 rebounds for the Cougars while
Che'Na Thompson led the Ospreys with 20 points.
Kean returns to action next Wednesday, when they travel to
Ramapo College.
