Newburgh, N.Y. (4/18/12) – The Kean University men's lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack with a strong fourth quarter finish to breeze by Mt. St. Mary College, 18-4, Wednesday evening in Skyline Conference action.
Sophomore Richard Cheifitz led the Cougars (10-5, 4-1 Skyline) with two goals and three assists as part of 14 players recording at least a goal in tonight's match. Nick Findlay led Mt. St. Mary (7-8, 1-4 Skyline) with three assists in the loss.
The Cougars scored the match's first three goals and didn't look back, taking a 7-1 advantage into the break.
The Knights outscored the Cougars, 4-3, in the third quarter, but Kean surged through the final quarter of action with nine goals to coast to the final of 18-4.
Four different keepers saw action in the contest, recording a combined eight saves in the win.
Kean finishes the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Richard Stockton College.
