New London, Conn. (4/7/12) – The Kean
University men's lacrosse team fell to host Connecticut
College by the final of 12-3 Saturday afternoon in non-conference
action.
With the loss Kean falls to 9-4 this season while the win
improves Connecticut to 5-4 this spring.
It was a slow start for both schools offensively but the Camels
started to chip away, scoring two goals late in the first
quarter. Connecticut would add another in the second quarter
to take a 3-0 lead before the Cougars broke through with a goal
from Brad Mills. The Camels scored two more
a minute apart to close out the first half with a 5-1
lead.
The Camels then surged through the third quarter tallying five
straight goals to take a 10-1 lead. Sean Bobal
broke up the run with the fourth quarter's first goal.
Kean would add another later in the half with a man-up goal from
senior Nick Angrisani.
Junior Lane Ziertan recorded 14 saves in three
quarters of action while Dino Vitale collected
three in the final 15 minutes.
Kean returns home for their final home match of the regular
season when they take on Montclair State University in Skyline
action on Senior Night beginning at 7 p.m.
