Deanna Columbia scored the game's lone goal
as the Kean University women's soccer team picked up their
seventh win of the season, edging Rutgers-Camden, 1-0, Saturday
afternoon.
Columbia (pictured left) scored the game-winner in the second half
a she knocked in her fourth goal of the season off a scramble that
was assisted by senior Ana Sanchez. With the
win Kean improves to 7-1 overall, and 2-0 in the NJAC.
Rookie KC Nunez picked up the shutout win with
one save on one total shot for the Scarlet Raptors (2-6-1, 0-2-1
NJAC). Junior Leighanna Milby recorded six saves in
the loss.
The Cougars outshot Rutgers-Camden, 14-1.
Kean returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to New
Jersey City University for a 4 p.m. matchup.
