Union, N.J. (10/25/14) – Junior Marissa Robinson scored both of Kean's goals in a key 2-1 field hockey win over Richard Stockton College on Saturday evening in NJAC action.
Robinson (pictured left) scored what would be the game-winner on a penalty stroke goal at the 58:30 mark, giving the Cougars (12-6, 2-3 NJAC) a 2-0 advantage at the time. She scored the first goal of the contest near the end of the first half after dribbling around her defender and firing a shot from the top of the circle.
The Ospreys (6-9, 2-4 NJAC) didn't waste much time after falling behind 2-0 as just 20 seconds later, they found the back of the cage as another #22 scored in junior Samantha Barcia.
Kean's Katie DiCarlo stopped five shots while Stockton's Sara Winters tallied 12 saves on the day.
The Cougars held a 15-5 advantage in penalty corners and a 24-8 advantage in shots.
The Cougars close out the regular season on Wednesday when they travel to William Paterson University on Wednesday.
