Clarks Summit, Pa. (12/13/14) – The Kean University women's basketball team used their entire squad while cruising to an 82-40 win over Baptist Bible College on Saturday in non-conference action.
The Cougars (6-3) jumped out to an 11-0 lead and didn't look back racing out to a 49-16 lead at the break. In the first 20 minutes, Kean led by as many as 36 as the entire bench saw action. Senior Shanice Jones led all players with 10 first-half points while rookie Najha Treadwell added six points, six rebounds and four steals.
The second half was much of the same as Kean led by as many as 50 (68-18) with just under 13 minutes to go on a made free throw from Jones.
Jones finished the day as the game's leading scorer with 19 points while Treadwell posted her third career double-double with 10 points and 11 boards. Sophomore Shelby Ringer (pictured left) registered nine points while Mikeera Brown finished the day with six rebounds.
Kean enjoys a break until after the holidays when they travel to Lehman College for a two day tournament.
