Jersey City, N.J. (2/1/14) – New Jersey City University held Kean to 23% shooting as the Gothic Knights picked up the 72-49 win in women's basketball New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Saturday.

The loss drops Kean to 11-8 this season and 8-4 in conference play while the win puts NJCU at 7-13 and 4-9 in the NJAC.

The second half played out similar to the first, however Kean did close the gap, holding the Gothic Knights to 33 second-half points, compared to 28 for the Cougars.

Junior AnnaRose Pierre (pictured left) led Kean with a double-double 11 points and 10 rebounds with three blocks and three steals.  In all 14 players saw action in the matchup.

Kean heads right back into conference action as they travel to Richard Stockton College on Monday for a rescheduled game, tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
