MAHWAH, N.J. (12/2/15) – In a matchup marred by two fire alarm delays, the Kean University men's basketball team fell to Ramapo College 91-63 in NJAC action on Wednesday. Four players finished in double figures for the Cougars.
Mike Diamond (12 points), Diego Pujols (11), Tommy Soulias and Jerry Crismond (10 each) were the high-scoring quartet for Kean in the game. Pujols had an especially efficient game on 5-for-8 shooting with four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Kevin Grek (pictured left) also had a solid stat line, making his only field goal and all three free throws he attempted, along with a pair of rebounds, an assist and a steal without committing a turnover. Kean did hold an early lead in the game but was unable to sustain it.
On the Ramapo side, Chris Mosley led the Roadrunners with 21 points and Frank Nock added 19.
Kean (0-6, 0-2 NJAC) is still searching for its first win of the season. The Roadrunners improved to 4-2 and 2-0 in the league.
Kean will return home on Saturday to host Rutgers-Camden in another NJAC matchup.
