UNION, N.J. (2/28/15) – The No. 1 Kean University men's volleyball team ran its unbeaten streak to 18 sets with a pair of Skyline Conference sweeps over New Jersey City University and the Sage Colleges on Saturday. Kean is now 16-0 and 4-0 in the conference.

In what was a clash of first-place teams in the opening match of the day, the Cougars staked its claim as top dog in the Skyline with a dominant 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 sweep of NJCU. Both clubs came into the match undefeated in Skyline play.

Kean bullied the Gothic Knights throughout the three-set match, with 13 service aces and eight blocks. Senior Bez Arslani had four aces and two blocks to go with his five kills.

Freshman Jacob Kauffman led the Cougars with 11 kills. He hit .409 in the match, bested only by Kean middles Kyle Farley and Tommy Rosario, who put it down at a rate of .625 and .417, respectively, with 13 combined kills.
