Hillburn, N.Y. (3/30/15) – Rookie Guilia Vitolo tallied a game-high six goals helping the Kean University women's lacrosse team to a 15-1 win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Monday.
Junior Sam Gnapp (pictured left) and freshman Eliza Clark each recorded hat-tricks as the Cougars earned their second win in five days.
Kean dominated the contest, putting up nine goals in the first half on 16 shots. The Cougars also controlled possession of the ball, with 17 groundballs in the first 30 minutes.
The Dolphins (1-5) erased the shutout with a goal at the 15:45 mark in the second period, breaking the 12 goal run for the Cougars.
In addition to her six goals, Vitolo also added an assist while classmate Brittany Ballack posted a goal, four groundballs and four draw controls.
Keeper Shauna LaMaina registered three saves in just under 17 minutes of action in net.
The Cougars open NJAC action on Saturday when they travel to Rowan University.
