UNION, N.J. (10/15/16) – The Kean University football team fell to Wesley College – which is receiving votes in the national polls – in a 48-17 game at home on Saturday. Junior linebacker Darin Hungerford set a new Kean football single-game record with 21 total tackles on the afternoon.

Hungerford's day included 10 solo stops, one-and-a-half tackles for a loss and a quarterback hurry. He was in on 20 percent of the entire team's tackles (106).
LeRon Dillard forced a fumble and Vaughn Scott picked off a pass for other Kean defensive highlights. David Coleman Jr. (pictured left) also had a solid game, with 13 total tackles (8 solo) and two tackles for a loss. Christopher Middleton had Kean's only sack of the afternoon.
Offensively, Charles App completed an 83-yard touchdown bomb to Ben Guarino (pictured right) for the biggest gainer of the day. Jordan Smith caught four passes and Antonie Wilson had a 31-yard reception.
On the ground, Brian Matthews picked up 80 yards and App added another 35, including a 20-yard touchdown scamper that gave the Cougars a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
Aryeh Moslavi connected on a 37-yard field goal in the second quarter.
Jamar Baynad ran for 114 yards and a touchdown for the Wolverines, while Dan Kesack racked up 267 yards in the air and two TDs.
The Cougars will head to Salisbury University next Saturday for a conference matchup at 1 p.m.
