St. Davids, Pa. (3/15/16) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack to improve to 4-0 on the season by defeating Eastern University, 17-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday.
The Cougar offense was led by Emily Stasuk (pictured left) who registered five goals on the cold and rainy day. Senior Jordan Blanda recorded eight points with four goals and four assists with six draw controls, four groundballs and three caused turnovers for an all-around performance. With today's goals, Blanda eclipsed the 100 career goal mark.
Sophomore Nikki Apostolopoulos stopped five shots in the complete game effort.
Kean racked up five goals in the first 10 minutes of action and from there seemed to pace themselves scoring about every three to four minutes after that for the remainder of the half. The Cougars had a 12-1 advantage at the break.
Kean stays on the road and will face Arcadia University this Saturday.
