The Dolphins were hot from behind the arc in the first half, shooting 6-11 (.545) from three-point range in the first 20 minutes. Edin Bracic was 3-for-3 and Darryl Bryant was 2-for-3 by the break.
Kean also had numerous players shooting the ball well; Kevin Grek was 3-4 and Jodrell Thompson, Watson (pictured left) and Micah Kerr were all 3-for-5 in the first half. Watson hit both of his three-point attempts as well, yet the Cougars trailed 42-30 at the break thanks in part to CSI's 22-9 edge in rebounding.
Staten Island's lead was cut down to six multiple times in the second half, but the Cougars were unable to make it a one-possession game. Grek finished 5-10 from the floor with 12 points and tied for the team lead with five rebounds. Kean highlights also included shooting 7-8 from the free-throw line on the afternoon.
The Cougars will resume NJAC play on Wednesday with a trip to Montclair State University at 8 p.m.
