Galloway, N.J. (10/14/17) – The #14 Kean University field hockey team improved their season record to 15-0 as they shut down Stockton University, 5-0.
The Ospreys fall to 9-5 and 1-2 in conference play.
Lia DiPiazza got the scoring going with the game's first goal as she corralled the rebound off Shauna LaMaina's shot eight minutes into the action.
Krista LaMaina made it 2-0 seven minutes later with a high liner. Jenna Patrone pushed the advantage to 3-0 before the break with a soft touch off a loose ball.
Kean put the game away in the final period as Teresa Carr netted two unassisted tallies to give the Cougars their record setting 15th straight win.
The Cougars have collected 10 shutouts this season and improve to 3-0 in the NJAC.
Keeper Megan Houser registered six saves in the win.
Kean will face off against nationally ranked Montclair State University on Tuesday at home at 7:30 p.m.
