Union, N.J. (10/7/17) – The Kean University women's soccer team rallied from a one goal deficit to push past William Paterson University on homecoming by the final of 2-1.
WP (8-5, 2-3 NJAC) was first to get on the board in the 16th minute when an errant hand ball call in the box led to a successful penalty kick from Lorraine Moffitt.
The Cougars (9-4, 3-2 NJAC) evened the match up just before the break as Deana Abdou fed Sabrini Sirni on a breakaway up the middle.
Kean would score the game-winner as Kaitlyn Pallitto fed Sabrina Pascarella who snuck around a row of defenders from the left side to put the score at 2-1.
Casey McDonnell made two saves in the win while Angela Sandelli stopped five.
