Glassboro, N.J. (10/31/18) – The Kean University women's soccer tell fell to host Rowan University in the semifinal round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament by the final of 3-0 on Wednesday night.
The Cougars end the season with a 5-8-6 overall mark. Rowan improves to 13-2-2 and will take on top seed The College of New Jersey in the NJAC championship on Saturday.
The Profs broke through in the 13th minute as Daria Jones finished a cross from Sarah Rosenberg. Rowan added another 15 minutes later as Darah Wagner netted her first of two on the night, this one off a cross from Aidan Sheehan.
Wagner added insurance in the 56th minute with an unassisted tally.
Rowan outshot Kean 25-8 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
For Kean, Mary Bystrycki stopped nine shots on the night.
