Union, N.J. (2/26/18) – SUNY Old Westbury used two runs in the fourth inning to stand up as they defeated Kean University by the final of 2-1 on Monday afternoon in a rescheduled contest.
In the deciding frame John Fogerty lined a one-out double to get into scoring position. John Condon followed with an RBI single up the middle for a quick 1-0 lead. After the Cougars issued a walk to put runners on first and second, Michael Manetta singled to right for the 2-0 advantage.
Kean (4-2) responded in the same inning cutting the deficit in half. John Carello led off frame with a double and traded places two batters later with Nick Polizzano with his first of two hits on the day.
