Men's Soccer Routs St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 7-1

UNION, N.J. (9/12/18)- Felipe Lucas notched a first half hat-trick as the Kean University men's soccer team routed St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn), 7-1 on Wednesday evening.

Damjan Agaj tallied three assists for the Cougars who improve to 4-1 overall. Kenneth Garcia scored the lone goal for the Bears who fall to 1-5 overall.

Lucas was responsible for the first four goals, as Kean scored five goals in the opening stanza and outshot their opponent, 17-4.

In the second half, after SJC finally got on the scoreboard, the Cougars added two more goals by Fanor Arango and Ramesses Moore-McGuinness.  Kean finished the game with 28 total shots, including 16 on frame.

Agaj, Lucas and Alex Nicol all totaled four shots, while Moore-McGuinness finished with three. Matthew Almeida, Arango, Danny Guillen, and Jung Eui Hong all took two shots apiece.

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 15th, hosting the Ospreys of Stockton University in their NJAC opener at 2:00 p.m.
