Men's Soccer Explodes for Eight Goals in Rout of Alfred

ALFRED, N.Y. (9/8/18) – Felipe Lucas and Geovanny Luna both scored two goals apiece as the Kean University men's soccer team remained unbeaten with an 8-1 victory over Alfred University at the Bryan Karl Tournament on Saturday evening.

Damjan Agaj, Ramesses Moore-McGuinness, Jake Santos, and Erick Reyes each tallied a goal for the Cougars who improve to 3-0 overall. Joe Gonzalez made four saves for the Saxons who remain winless at 0-4 overall.

Lucas scored both of his goals in the first half as Kean took a 3-0 lead into halftime and held a 16-0 shot differential. In the second half, Kean pushed their lead to 6-0 in the 62nd minute with goals by Agaj, Reyes, and Luna.

The Saxons finally got on the scoreboard with a Kean own goal in the 71st minute, but Kean closed out the game with a second goal by Luna and a score by Moore-McGuinness.

The Cougars finished the contest dominating on shots, 29-4.

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action tomorrow against the Wolves of Keuka College in the Championship game at 3:30 p.m.
