UNION, N.J. (9/14/19) – Zoe Strozewski recorded 36 kills and a .388 hitting percentage over two matches as the Kean University women's volleyball team dropped matches to Gettysburg College and New York University on the final day of the Kean Invitational.

Strozewski tallied a career-high 29 kills, while
Sedona Gaard posted a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs as the Cougars (7-4) fell in a five-set match to the Bullets (5-6). Strozewski's 29 kills are the highest in the Coach Perkins era at Kean, surpassing
Kassie Hernandez's 27 kill performance against William Paterson on Sept. 30
th, 2014.
Brianna Calvano totaled 51 assists and 12 digs, while
Kortnee Nelson (25) and
Michelle Froehlich (12) both collected double-digit digs in the process.
Caliyn Ross and
Kayla Thornton both tallied six kills apiece in the loss.
NYU 3, Kean 0
The Violets (10-1) hit .330 for the match to sweep the Cougars (7-5) in straight sets of the final match at the Kean Invitational.
Jesse Larkin totaled nine kills, while Thornton and Strozewski each tallied seven apiece.
Nelson (12) Gaard (11) and
Amanda DeLio (10) all collected double-digit digs.
Strozewski was named to the All-Tournament Team, while
Haley Holz from NYU was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player.
