UNION, N.J (3/4/20) – Five players tallied a hat-trick as a 20 goal first half propelled the Kean University men's lacrosse team to a 25-5 victory over Bard College on Wednesday evening.
Cole Blackley,
Justin Arredondo,
Brady Moore,
Kyle Ryder, and
Justin Regester all tallied three goals apiece for the Cougars who improve to 2-0 overall.
Corey Rich finished with three goals for the Raptors who fall to 0-2 overall.
Kean struck early and often in the first quarter as the Cougars poured in 11 goals with Blackley scoring three and Moore tallying two.
The Cougars added nine more goals in the second quarter with two from Arredondo, Ryder, and Regester.
Kean led 20-1 at halftime after outshooting the Raptors 37-3, including 18-1 on goal.
The Cougars added another five in the second stanza with goals by Regester,
Connor Batjer,
Bryce Berger,
George Capria, and
Noah Costanzo.
Moore added five assists, while Batjer tallied three.
Jake Frankovits and
Anthony Porter both finished with two assists and a goal
Matt Palmieri finished with six groundballs and three caused turnovers while
Max Stevens went 9-for-11 on faceoffs with six groundballs.
Aaron Sanchez finished with three groundballs and three caused turnovers.
Nicholas Moffa went 11-for-14 on faceoffs with three groundballs, while
Dylan Pelago finished 8-for-9 with two groundballs.
In goal,
Thomas Francy,
Zach Koehler,
Michael Yukas and
Hunter Rovere all saw action, combining for four saves in 60 minutes.
