PURCHASE, N.Y. (10/30/21) – Ashley Smith and Kayla Thornton combined for 18 kills as the Kean University women's volleyball team was swept by Manhattanville College, 3-0 in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

Ayla Ruiz posted a double-double with 23 kills and 11 digs for the Valiants who finish their regular season at 17-6 overall. Smith and Thornton each tallied nine kills apiece for the Cougars who finish their regular season at 15-11 overall.

Smith added four digs and one ace, while Thornton added three digs and three blocks. Taylor Micheaux totaled six kills, while Anne Beckemeyer finished with five kills, three blocks and one dig. Kylie Brua posted 30 assists and five digs, while Amanda DeLio collected 11 digs.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 2^nd, hosting the fifth seed Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden in an NJAC quarterfinal match beginning at 7:00 p.m
