INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (11/8/21) – The Kean University men's soccer team will travel to Cortland, N.Y. to face Gettysburg College in an NCAA Tournament first-round matchup as the national committee released the bracket of 64 teams on Monday afternoon.
The Cougars (12-4-3) won the NJAC tournament via penalty kicks (4-3) over Rowan University on Saturday.
Kean has been placed in the pod that features SUNY Cortland, Nazareth and Gettysburg. #5 Cortland (16-2-1) will square off with Nazareth (13-1-3) at 5:00 p.m., while the Cougars will face Gettysburg at 7:30 p.m. All games are taking place at T. Fred Holloway Field on the campus of SUNY Cortland.
Cortland won the SUNYAC Conference after defeating Oswego State in the title game, 6-0 on Saturday.
Blake Aronson leads Cortland with 26 points on 13 goals.
Nazareth won the Empire 8 Conference after defeating Houghton in the title game, 3-0 on Saturday.
Jake Pawlika leads Nazareth with 25 points on 11 goals and three assists.
Gettysburg fell in the Centennial Conference championship game to Washington (Md.), 2-0 on Sunday.
Connor Fife leads Gettysburg with 26 points on 12 goals and two assists.
